The Hair Extension Experience at Love Your Hair

Getting extensions is an investment. You deserve to know exactly what you're walking into before you commit to anything. Here's how it works.

The Consultation

We start with a consultation before anything else. We'll go over which method makes the most sense for your hair, match your color, talk through your goals, and I'll give you a real number so there are no surprises at checkout. If we decide to move forward, a 50% deposit is required to order your hair. Installation is usually scheduled 1 to 2 weeks out from there.

The Right Method for Your Hair

Not every extension method works for every head of hair. That's exactly why the consultation comes first.

I'm certified in four methods: keratin bond, I-tip, sew-in weft, and tape-in. I'm also trained in mesh and meshless integration, which is specifically designed for fine or thinning hair. It allows me to add volume and fullness in places standard extensions can't touch, including areas with less density at the crown or hairline.

We figure out which method makes sense for your hair at the consultation. Not what's trending. Not what's easiest. What actually works for your texture, your density, and your goals.

The Installation Appointment

Plan for 2 to 6 hours depending on the method, how much hair you need, and whether we're doing color. Here's what's included in every install:

  • 100% Remy human hair, custom matched to your color

  • Color service to blend your natural hair with the extensions if needed

  • The installation itself, done with the method we chose together

  • A haircut to blend everything so it looks like it grew that way

  • A deep conditioning treatment or Olaplex to protect your hair through the process

  • A full style and blowout

  • A take-home care kit: shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, hair oil, extension brush, scrunchies, and a microfiber wrap

  • A printed care card with a QR code linking to how-to videos on my site

If we're together for more than 5 hours, lunch or dinner is on me. Snacks and drinks throughout either way.

Healthy Hair First

Extensions should never come at the cost of your natural hair. Period.

Every install I do starts with an honest assessment of your hair health. If your hair isn't in a good place to support extensions right now, I'll tell you that. We'll make a plan to get it there first. I'm not interested in putting extensions in hair that isn't ready for them. That's not good for your hair, and it's not good for the investment you're making.

The deep conditioning treatment and Olaplex included in every install aren't extras. They're part of how I make sure your natural hair stays healthy while your extensions do their thing.

Keeping Them Up

Plan to come back every 6 to 8 weeks for a move-up. That's when we reposition the extensions as your natural hair grows. It protects your hair and keeps everything looking seamless.

New hair is typically needed every 3 to 12 months depending on the method and how well they're maintained at home. I'll set you up with a care plan at your install so you know exactly what to do.
